BookSale Online Na

Sa totoo lang, tambay ako ng Book sale. Ang mahal kasi sa National. Sa Booksale, pre-loved pero bagsak presyo. Noon, kapag nakabisita, halos buong araw doon sa loob, kasi nagbabasa na rin kahit nakalagay na 'No reading.'

Mga sampu siguro yung librong mapipili ko kahit isa lang naman yung mabayaran ko duon. Pag malapit ng yung closing time, ilalagay ko sa pinakadulo yung mga best books na hindi ko mabibili. Papatungan ng ilan pang mga libro para walang makakita. Feeling ko kasi mababalikan ko pa ulit yun sa susunod na sweldo. Pero as usual pag balik ko wala na ito doon. Ok lang kasi marami naman ulit magandang titles, at ganun pa din, isa lang din ang mabibili ko.

Tulad ng ibang businesses, kailangan mag adjust ng Booksale. May market naman talaga sa Shopee na maaaring ma-tap. Even yung National at Fullybooked ay online na rin.

While iba pa rin yung pag flip ng books at pag rummage sa mga shelves, dahil sa pandemya, it's safer to buy online muna. HIndi ko lang alam if mag work for Booksale yung set up kasi as far as I remember halo-halo talaga yung books nila, pati pang doktor at algebra katabi ng mga music books, fiction, sci-fi at biographies.

Maaga pa naman, pero interesting ma-witness paano nila ito aayusin online.

Whammos, jelly jooze, watchamacalliit, funwich, Tivoli ice cream, Eskimo pie, bubble cone pink with gumball at the bottom… I think i'd pass for a 90s kid. :) They said brands come and go, but I think brands, they fade because their most loyal customer base just grew up. Magnolia Of My Childhood

When you buy Magnolia ice cream, you are reminded of your childhood…those times when a trip to Magnolia House means sharing a peach melba or a banana split with your brother or sister and “hating kapatid” means the older sibling will be getting the biggest portion for having the bigger stomach….when birthdays mean your parents are going to give away cups of ube, vanilla, or chocolate flavors to your classmates while they greet you in unison “happy birthday classmate, praise be Jesus and Mary!” and you feel like a star for a day…when mid-play you stop on the sound of that kuliling and run back to pester your nanay for a pinipig crunch, ice drops or those twin popsicles which you never ever got because they were expensive and for throwing a tantrum you have to fold all the clothes in the aparador…those times when you actually watched a TV ad curious to know the next flavor of the month... or when you saved money to buy a pint of your favorite flavor (mine was Choco Marble) then locked y...

Late bloomer

Namunga ang orkidyas namin sa wakas! Itinali namin ito sa puno ng santol noon. Ilang araw lang ay kumapit na ito sa katawan ng puno. Yun lang namunga ito halos magda-dalawang taon makalipas. Na flashback ako, noong nakita ko ng malapitan ang halaman. Noong mga bata kasi kami, parating may ganitong bulaklak kapag may ga-graduate o aakyat ng stage dahil tatanggap ng medalya. Corsage daw ang tawag doon. Nakalagay ito sa isang transparent na box at inilalagay ng nanay ko sa freezer para daw kinabukasan ay fresh pa. Tatlong ate ko ang nakaexperience ng corsage sa graduation. At tuwina, bago ilagay sa freezer ang box, hahawakan ko muna ito at susubukang amuyin ang mga siwang. Hanggang sa sawayin na ako ng nanay ko. Iyung ritwal lang na iyun, na-excite na ako sa idea na magkakaroon din ako ng ganoon pag oras ko na. Ang kaso noong graduation ko walang orkidyas.
