Skatepark At Sommerset, Singapore

In 2013, while exploring the neighborhood near Mandarin Orchard Hotel in Singapore, I was lucky enough to find this hub for teens and kids. At the back of Orchard Road there is a Skatepark accessible via the Sommerset exit of their MRT. Here, kids / teens and the not-so-young converge to have fun with their skateboards, bikes or just by watching. I took this using my camphone. I felt my stomach churn I think because of envy. We don't have this kind of park around my area back home. Although, there's one now in Laguna or so I heard and in Manila. Still, I hope one day this would be a dime a dozen in the Philippines so kids/teens even the young at heart can enjoy. :)

Magnolia Of My Childhood

I luv #TipasHopia

#Hopia is a popular merienda or snack in the Philippines. It is similar to the Chinese mooncake, only its outer layers are thin flakes. The fillings could be mung been or monggo, sweet yam or ube. While i also like the hopia monggo of sari sari stores and hopia baboy and flavored hopia in chinatown, I like these Tipas Hopia too. You can get these from bakeries in #Tipas in Taguig. If you are lucky, you'll find a vendor along provincial highways, too! That was how we got ours!
